All ready to choose the vessels carrying inaugural Canal transit extended

The ACP invited to participate in the draw to major customers representing 60% of revenues from the waterway.
Preparations continue for the inauguration and commercial operation of the expanded Canal. On Friday April 29 will be chosen by lottery, the ship will transit the opening.
The ship will leave the Atlantic sector to the Pacific. In both locks transit will take about 3 hours each, in order to enable the public to appreciate the tour, which will take over in the Culebra Cut.
According to the administrator of the Panama Canal, Jorge Quijano, were invited to participate in the raffle to major customers representing 60% of revenues from the waterway, however, it depends on whether they have ships available for that date and in that direction it has been required to follow the tradition and do the same crossroads that made the Ancón at the time.
He said some customers have said they have no ships available for that day and Friday we will know who will participate.
