New round commercial Panama-Israel Treaty

The third round of negotiations begins today between the Governments of Israel and Panama, which will take place in Jerusalem until 23 July.

At this stage of negotiating issues such as market access, rules of origin, trade facilitation, trade defense, services, investment, intellectual property, cooperation, dispute settlement, institutional issues, lists of goods and services Annex will be discussed.

According to Minister of Trade and Industry, Meliton Arrocha, Israel is a strategic partner very similar in nature and size to Panama, but with a difference in their technological innovation, so that would be considered “a suitable business partner.

Currently, the commercial relationship between Panama and the Middle Eastern country is not very large, only it covers about $ 17 million in total.
