Panama seeks to be a destination for investments

Panama requires local and foreign investment to help shore up the economy with higher long-term sustainability, said the president of the Union of Industrialists of Panama (SIP), Ricardo Sotelo.

Sotelo recommends a type of investment that remains in the country and cut capital flight.

It indicates that the country should promote a comprehensive strategy that includes technical education and better financing scheme that will ensure greater competitiveness.

Monetary stability, development and logistics communication platform is also a window to attract industrial investment, he added.

Given this, the authorities of the Ministry of Trade and Industry announced their intention to promote the country as an investment destination in the energy, logistics and financial services sectors in the “Doing Business in Atlanta”, Georgia.

During the event will present the outlook for economic growth and public investment projects to encourage foreign investment.
