Panama starts fourth round of negotiations for an FTA with Israel


Negotiators from Panama and Israel began on Monday, the fourth round of negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA).

This round will work until next November 19 and as Diana Salazar, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry (MTI) is expected to reach the document for approval next year to the National Assembly.

“I would go for next year to the Assembly, because they have to take legal review” Salazar said, adding that the intention is that both countries being members who do not have much import, can benefit both the logistical hub representing Panama, and in Panama you get benefits of technological development of the state of Israel.
